Measurement and Computation of Turbulent Nonpremixed Flames
July 31–August 2, 2008

TNF9 WORKSHOP PROGRAM
Registration will open at 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 31. The program will begin with a reception and poster session from 5-9 pm. Morning and evening sessions will be held on Friday, August 1 with the afternoon free for small group discussions. Focus Topics (Tentative)
- LES quality assessment.
- Considerations for quantitative comparison of experiments and LES.
- Challenges and strategies for regime independent modeling, including nonpremixed, stratified, and premixed flames.
- Challenges and strategies for addressing more complex fuels.
- Progress on modeling of previous TNF target flames.
- Measurement and modeling of scalar mixing, scalar dissipation, and length scales.
- New experiments.
POLICY
The TNF Workshop is a satellite meeting that should complement the Combustion Symposium and avoid conflicts. Accordingly, our policy is that material presented at the workshop should not duplicate information in formal Symposium papers and oral presentation, although some results may be used in common.
