Online registration closes Tuesday, July 29th. Walk-in registration is available on the date of the workshop, August 3rd, at the Delta Montreal Hotel.
Purpose:
The CHEMKIN in Combustion Workshop gathers together users of CHEMKIN software for the purpose of exchanging information and experience in the simulation of combustion-related processes. The Sixth Biennial Workshop on CHEMKIN in Combustion will highlight examples of CHEMKIN use in energy-related applications, including emissions predictions and engine modeling with realistic fuel surrogates.
New capabilities available with the release of the newest member of the CHEMKIN Product Family, CHEMKIN-PRO, will be presented. These capabilities include the new Multi-Zone HCCI engine model, a Reaction Path Analyzer, and the incorporation into flame simulations of the moment-method-based Particle-Tracking feature. Complementary combustion-simulation software offerings from Reaction Design will also be discussed. Hands-on demonstrations of the simulation tools will be available at the end of the workshop.
As in past CHEMKIN Workshops, we will also include an interactive discussion on future plans for CHEMKIN development, CHEMKIN use in teaching and research, and any related issues that participants would like to raise.
The Sixth Biennial CHEMKIN in Combustion Workshop will be held on Sunday, August 3rd in Montreal, immediately prior to the start of the 32nd International Symposium on Combustion.
