JESS is a portable library for symbolic computation. It compiles heuristic rules into discriminator networks that process millions of data items in a fraction of a second. The JESS engine uses a novel indexing scheme to accelerate correlations by filtering irrelevant data. JESS now includes a full integrated rule development environment based on the award-winning Eclipse platform. Current work includes algorithm development and bringing the power of JESS applications to handheld platforms.
